Just ordered a Sandisk Extreme Pro 256gb thumbdrive…

I have enjoyed the sound on the Rossini Apex from my various older thumb drives but have just ordered this faster variety and I am curious what impact it will have on sound, if any.

They make a 1 terabyte version but wanted to start with this for now. My research suggested this was one of the better thumb drives out there.

Amazon is saying it will arrive already by 2-6 pm today.

With libraries of this kind of size or larger I would suggest changing to NAS storage and installing MinimServer2 to enable Mosaic fully. Navigation should be better for a start.

I hear you but I am intentionally going for simplicity here.

Hi @Lee

Just as a note - we do state in the manuals that we recommend only USB pendrives and thumbdrives of up to 32GB capacity

SQ wise, I tested HDD and SDD connected via USB but still prefer Ethernet streaming.

Yeah, it seems the thumb drive is not being recognized at all so far. I wonder if I reduced the files to 32 gb in size if we would be okay.

It’s now working with my 32gb drives.

Maybe these solutions from Sandisk will help you to format your large thumb drive as FAT32:
