Is Burn In time influenced by amp volume?

I’ve had my Bartók Apex for a week now and It’s already sounding amazing.
I have decided to let it burn in naturally, rather than use the accelerated feature.
If I’m going out shopping, or popping out for a pint (or two, or three😀) I will select Radio in the Mosaic App and play music at a low level.
Is the ‘Burn In’ time influenced by the volume level of the power amp?

Just to confirm, at present I am using a Naim 282 Preamp and a Naim 300DR power amp. (This set up could well change in a couple of months if I decide to bin the Preamp and upgrade the power amp).

Thanks

You say that you are burning in Bartok Apex. The power amp is a different unit and has no effect on Bartok. I think that you are confusing system burn in with your new Bartok. Your Naim units, unless new, are presumably already burned in.

Hi Pete…Thanks for your reply.

I thought the Bartók needs to throw out a signal to the pre/power to Burn in? Or, is it the case the Bartók just needs to be powered on?

Yes, all the other components including the Kudos 606 speakers are well Burnt in.

Bartok needs to be turned on and playing. So radio is a good idea. However the Bartok output stage may need a connection to complete the circuit but that does not mean that there need be any volume.

Thanks for that info Pete.:+1:

…or that the preamp / power amps even need to be turned on.
