How do you connect your TV?

I use my DAC with pre and power amp for watching TV too. What’s the best way to connect a TV to such a system?

TV optical out to DAC is an option I guess? Would love dCS to come with HDMI ARC, so you can watch TV and control volume with your TV remote.

I’m using optical for this. Works fine, but as you pointed out you can’t control the volume from the TV.

I use the optical output from the TV to feed my DAC, mainly to give electrical isolation of the hifi system from the noisy video processing in the TV and the 3 video boxes connected to it by HDMI
