Kudos titan 808’s
I run mine with my vitus sia030 integrated. Kevin runs his active with naim 300dr amps (3 of them) it’s a lot off boxes, 8 in total and lot’s off cables.
After yesterday doing it that way is certainly not for me, i prefer my much simpler way.
My class A amp certainly with it’s huge transformer and caps doesn’t sound lacking in any department, but it does show a different way to do it with amp’s that dont have the same big punch or grunt.
It would be interesting to hear them side by side, but can’t see that happening anytime soon.
I thought you might say Kudos. I wonder about going active with 300DR and the new Sigao for my 606s. It’s one option to explore. Kevin’s set up of 3x300DR, you could do for 20Kish at the moment, but yes, a lot of boxes.
His active system is from his naim SL2 speaker day’s, it just made sense to add another 300dr when he got the 808’s.
He wants to try the new passive kudos crossover ASAP, this will get rid off one box.
Over £30k off amp’s, crossover and power supply, then 6 lengths off speaker cables, 4 power cables, and finally 8 shelves needed. I would want it to be stunning and easily better than a single amp.
For me i would rather spend the money on a better single amp or mono blocks. But obviously we can all do as we want
I current have a Dan D’Agostino amplifier, which I’m very happy with @Dunc However, I’m very interested in Vitus (SIA025 and SIA030) to drive my Titan 606’s. I’m a bit reluctant to audition them as I know if might result in more expenditure ![]()

Had the sia025 on home demo year’s ago, but with pmc fact 12 speakers.
Certainly nice, nice class A warmth but detailed sound.
The problem i had with it was the heat it gave off.
I obviously have the bigger brother to it now, and find it absolutely fantastic. Great combo with my sources.
Probably my speakers are holding my system back, but i hate trying speakers and finding ones that work ok in my room can be challenging. So i don’t really want to go down that road at the moment.
