Forum Posting Composition Panel

The normal composition panel allows you to see 4 lines of type at a time before scrolling forward. Using the composition panel when writing a message ( PM) a much smaller one is generated which allows only a single line at a time. This is nearly impossible to work with.

Does anyone know how to enlarge it?

Pete, two possible ways: (1) the horizontal blue bar separating the composition panel from the upper part of the page can be moved up with the mouse and this enlarges the composition panel and area you have to write in. (2) Click the small diagonal arrow symbol top right of the composition panel to enter full screen composition mode. I think I have that right.

Many thanks. How many postings and messages have I written here over the years without knowing this?

Best not to go there, I think. I searched for topics with PAR contributions, and there is a very long list. I debated counting them, for fun, even though there are several to many hundreds. But at the bottom of this long list is a statement that put me off (I hope you don’t mind!): There are more results. Please narrow your search criteria.

Simon, my question was rhetorical and does not seek an actual answer.Hence the raised eyeballs emoji.

Haha, you may be glad that you were easily put off. Pete is the all time top contributor to the forum with 4.5K posts (and counting).

Many thanks Pete, please keep going! (and yes, Simon, you were spot on regarding the compose pane).

Thank you Andrew. I realised the question didn’t seek an answer, and my reply didn’t communicate the intended smile that went with it. I was curious though, Pete being Senior Member as it were, and obviously our #1 contributor. There ought to be an award for that. Seriously!

I agree Simon, in fact we’ve recognised a few of the members who are the lifeblood of the forum and will continue to do so. :+1:

I recall a time when PAR used to be prolific on Audio Asylum (though I was never a regular).

@PAR when did you quit AA?

When he completed the 12 steps??

BTW, in real life I am teetotal.

Really? :innocent:

Yes, really. In Swavesy I was drinking Diet Coke.

I am the age when precise past dates are a bit vague. However I would guess at the end on the 20teens, maybe a little later. I used to enjoy Audio Asylum when postings were made by the top guys at the manufactures ( no longer) and before the majority of posts started to concern vintage/used equipment and there was little relating to our end of the market. I don’t know if that state of affairs has continued.

I have no idea either, I haven’t perused the site in years. I was somewhat active in the early 2000s, back when an “intelligent Chip” wasn’t an AI related Nvidia GPU or a Google TPU, but a bonkers audiophile “sound enhancer” supposedly involving quantum dots and invisible lasers
