That’s right—I’m a Vivaldi system headphone user, and I’ve always been curious why every other model includes the Expanse feature while Vivaldi is the only exception. It feels a little disappointing because, despite investing more in the flagship system, it seems to offer fewer features in this regard. I completely understand that there may be technical or design reasons behind this, but I was wondering if dCS could share whether there are any plans to bring Expanse support to Vivaldi in the future.

I’m myself the happy owner of a Bartók APEX with a Headphone amp, but I now prefer to use dedicated amplifiers for my quite power hungry Susvara or Abyss 1266 cans.
Here, only having access to the Expanse settings when the Bartók internal HP amp is selected is also quite a limitation…

Given that the Rossini does offer Expanse, while lacking an headphone section, makes me think there’s not need for a special circuitry for that to work, it’s just a matter of a commercial choice. A puzzling one.
