DSP Functions on dCS DACs

Recently I stumbled upon a DAC with a lot of unique DSP Functions. The Ferrum Wandla GSE gen 2.

The DAC has 3 main DSP Features:

  • Impact+, which enhances the low end a little more sophisticated than a low shelf
  • Tube mode: which lets you choose harmonic distortion profiles of popular tube types like 300B, EL34, KT88 or 2A3
  • And spatial enhancements

I was wondering how dCS stand on something like that is?

Especially on the tube mode, since dCS own amplifiers are all solid state.

Devices like the Immersiv D-1 also come with a harmonic colouration feature.

Personally I’d like to see something like that added, however I think that it might go against dCS purist approach. (On the other hand Expanse exists as well and also alters things)
