Very sorry Gregg, but I can’t help you with either I’m afraid.
Firstly, as you know my T2 is driven by a Vivaldi, whereas I listened to the Headonia sourced from a Moon network streamer (681?) which probably costs less than the Vivaldi Clock. I don’t have nearly enough experience with either amp together with different sources to be able to even speculate on what was contributing what. Secondly, I don’t own X9000s (no “black cable” Staxes at all in fact) and have only heard them once, very briefly in a completely unfamiliar system.
My subjective impression was however that the Moon/Headonia/Immanis combo delivered similar levels of musical enjoyment to my Vivaldi/T2/SR-007 Mk I combo. More weight in the bass but less detail, less “texture”, and maybe better macro-dynamics but weaker micro-dynamics. The highs were sweet but lacked that gossamer delicacy I get with my Stax combo. For about €35,000 all-in it is an absolutely killer system, although I would love to have heard the Headonia/Immanis driven by a DAC X!
