I hve just tried 80ohm headphones connected to Bartok RCA output and at 0.6V using the range -12dB- -3dB i have the right volume. I have checked the requency response using tidal: https://tidal.com/album/29581889
I can hear up to 15khz being 51 years old and i can here it here and from 30Hz up is also ok. I tried also my Audio Note M8 preamplifier in a same way and is fine also. It has tubes and output transformer giving 10ohm outpit impedance and up to 6V max output and at 6V out bartok i have the right range on preamp pot. AN gives me fuller sound and warmer. All is possible with 3 usd RCA male to jack female adapter…

Maybe because adapters have additional impedance? I don’t understand.
