We have made a number of organisational changes in the last year-or-so to improve our products, your ownership experience with dCS, and how we provide technical support and service to all dCS owners worldwide. Some of these changes have already happened, some are underway and some are yet to start, but our goal with these changes is to try and deliver best in industry product performance, usability, and support.
Some of these changes are in Engineering as we expand the team and add new roles and skillsets, while other changes involve the creation of more how-to documentation, technical and setup guides and other content that helps you get the best out of your dCS system.
Another change is how we structure our Customer Support and Service team moving forwards. Given the number of dCS products we need to support, from classic legacy product all the way through to our current ranges as well as the multitude of dCS software platforms (network and FPGA) and apps (Mosaic and Mosaic ACTUS) in the field we felt it was becoming impossible for our Support and Service team to be effective without being based here at the factory and working together. Here they have access to all the product, tools, workspace, and other departments they need to deliver first class support and service.
An unfortunate outcome of this restructure however is that Phil, who is remotely based and unable to relocate to Cambridge, will be leaving us. This is Phil’s second stint with dCS and I hope you all join me in wishing him all the best. He is a wonderful human being with a great sense of humour who cares deeply about solving problems and helping people.
I wanted to post personally as Phil was a huge part of the dCS community and communicating with you about dCS news such as this is important. If anyone has any questions or thoughts you’d like to share, please message myself, @James or @AndrewS. We welcome feedback always.
Our [email protected] channel remains open and active for any direct support or service needs.
I’d like to thank Phil for his massive contribution to dCS and wish him the best in his next role.
Congratulations to everyone on the changes. Exciting times, and best of luck for it all, everybody!

I’ll drink to that. (Even though it’s 10:38am here.)
Always loved reading Phil’s posts, and enjoyed chatting to him in person in Munich. A wonderful human being indeed. And somehow both helpful and a laugh simultaneously! Here’s to the third time, Phil & David
I hope no one minds me leaving this here in Phil’s honour:
Thanks for the really kind comments on my departure. When David posted his message I had already left (my last day was Tuesday 10th March) so I apologise if it seemed I was being ignorant by not replying to your messages, I’ve only just been made aware that some of you had commented up here so have made a personal login to reply.
I’m incredibly sad to no longer be a part of dCS but, as David has already said, there are changes being made to the structure that simply didn’t work for me being 200+ miles away so we have gone our separate ways. We have parted on good terms though and I will always have very positive memories of my times with dCS, I see that a couple of you have made comments on a third innings - well, this isn’t the American presidency that we’re talking about so, if the opportunity arose, who knows?
dCS is a very special place to be and IMO makes some exceptional kit but there are also some incredible people that is has been an absolute pleasure to be able to work with and aren’t “seen” by the outside world and I wouldn’t have been able to do anything without them making it all possible. Similarly David is quite an unusual “find” nowadays - obviously he has a company to run and that has to be his primary concern but he truly tries to look after his people as much as he can, there have been a few instances where he has shown that he really does care and that counts for a lot!
So, it’s been a great four years, thank you all for being there as part of the dCS extended family and I’ll just say the same to you guys as I did in my parting email to the guys in the office…
