Airlens with Bartok

I tried the streamer from ps-audio via my Bartok.
I was suprized bythe positive effect on the quality off music via spotify and Quboz…then the buildin streamer in the bartok…similar expierences here?

The Airlens uses the ConversDigital compute module, which is a poor competitor to the StreamUnlimited Compute module used in the Bartók.

Additionally, with the Airlens, it goes through an additional AES conversion, both on the Airlens side, and once again on the Bartók, which then has to be put into “Audio Sync” mode for the clock.

The net of all this is that, it may sound different and you may prefer it, but it’s not technically in any way better than native streaming on the Bartók

Maybe because both use there own powersupply.
Its know when you use seperate gears,pre-amp,poweramps(monoblocks) transports, dacs, etc…powersuplies are mosty important factor…

Technically, there’s really no way for the Airlens to be better than the Bartok’s internal streamer.

The extra AES conversion stages and clock jitter from having to receive clocking alone will destroy any potential PSU noise improvements (which seriously I doubt the PS-Audio is in any way better than the dCS’s PSU filters between digital & analog sections)
