I would normally take dCS’ word on that, but they also claim all clock cables from an external clock to the DAC sound the same when they very clearly do not.
We do know that dCS sent sample ACTUS cables to third parties according to their postings around the introduction of Varese a couple of years ago. However, so far, none has taken this up . I presume that they are aware aware of the opportunity.
They would need to compensate financially for the fact that Varese with ACTUS requires fewer cables than predecessors such as Vivaldi
