New album, just out today. No surprises here, slow songs about people living on the edge of society. Singer Amy Boone has the perfect voice for this. Love it!
Will have to check that out.

AIFF CD rip 44.1/16
A law school fave, especially The Road to Babylon while under the influence of something or another. Deserved better RQ.
Not seeing anything 24 bit on Qobuz. I’ve got two Qobuz versions, the basic album and the extended 40th Anniversary (which contains some of my fave live versions). Both are 16/44.1. Perhaps it was once there but no longer, or maybe not available in the US.

Hi Greg,
If the 40th Anniversary edition is available to you, even if in 16/44.1, you should try it anyway.
I bet its dynamic range will be the ~same as the 24bits version, hence slightly superior to the former SACD mastering.
Hello @Erwan
I downloaded it from Qobuz, and am thoroughly enjoying it.
I concur. The DR of this version is 10 (SACD version is 9).

Hi Jonathan,
Yes, “Your Latest Trick”, “Walk Of Life” or “Brothers In Arms”… all sound better to me with this version.

Listen to the release Late Night Tales: Barry Can’t Swim (LNT Mix) by Barry Can’t Swim on Qobuz https://open.qobuz.com/album/bc6tx5w7gulqe
Oh i own it already in 16 bit. But I’m probably more influenced by the presentation than just straight DR. I’m still a fan of both the MoFi SACD and my SACD-SHM. For a fun dive down the rabbit hole on this single work, I recommend a review of this ASR piece (I know, I know …)
