Stumbled on this while researching a modern recording of Beethoven’s G Major Piano Concerto for the “100 Greatest Classical Music Works” thread and am really enjoying it.
According to the TiVo review quoted on Roon “The Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra under Daniel Harding is a competent group, surely, but hardly on Europe’s or even Scandinavia’s A-list” which I find a little harsh. I have several friends who are professional musicians (both with and outside the SRSO) and all of them disagree vehemently with this characterization.
So, classical connoisseurs, what do you think?
