Another of my favorites from this time period (2004) is Blonde Redhead. Don’t know if you’re a fan. They have also just released a new album or it’s about to be released.
Track: Elephant Woman
Band: Blonde Redhead
Album: Misery is a Butterfly
alt rock/pop
Qobuz 16/44
I quite enjoy them!
My favorite on this album is Equus!
Now I can see from Roon that they have at least released 6 albums since “Misery is a Butterfly”… I was aware and listened to “23” when it was released after this one in 2007. Looks that I’ll have some homework to do
Cassandra Wilson
Belly of the Sun
Vocal-Jazz/Jazz
Blue Note - 2002
16/44.1 - DR: 8dB
Going on with my CW’s album collection.
Definitely not my favorite of her…
Much better!
J.S. Bach: Toccata BWV 911, Partita BWV 826, English Suite No. 2 BWV 807
Martha Argerich
Deutsche Grammophon - 1st March 2000
24/96
DR: 12
Outstanding disc IMO. Why didn’t Argerich record more Bach??

Looking forward to seeing this group the first week of August.
In Dutch we have a saying: geen dag zonder Bach. At least on the classical radio channel they say it frequently. It translates as: no day without Bach; but in Dutch it does have a nice rhyming quality to it
the SQ is great! Not a big Mahler fan but this is really outstanding
A little strange that UMG would suddenly release an EP of select Roxy Music tracks remastered.
Roxy Music never gets old though
16/44.1 on Qobuz and elsewhere.
