Had the very great pleasure to see Bo Sundström (of Bo Kaspers Orkester - jazz/folk) live this evening. What a fantastic gig, the best I have had the pleasure to see for ages. Mostly his own work but with elements of Nina Simone, Diana Washington and even Doris Day.
I have a couple of BKO albums (for anyone interested in dipping their toes I would recommend starting with Söndag I Sängen) but it was the track Cirkus from this album which brought tears to my eyes (although I have to say I felt it worked better “unplugged”).

I always hesitate to buy vinyls from now on, although I got a pretty great equipment here as well.
I’ve been disappointed by the current records one can purchase now.
Either highly pricy, or with very crappy sound. Aftermarket is a total lottery, and you need to spend a lot of time studying which edition/pressing deserves to be considered before buying…
I’m becoming either more cautious or more lazy
I understand. If a record isn’t nearly perfect (absolutely quiet) I won’t listen to it. The production on this one is quite good and clean. I have also become lazy. If I believe only a mediocre recording is available or if not really cLean I much prefer cd or streaming.
