Best album ever! Inertia creeps is my reference track for drums - in the intro, I think I’m hearing a kick, two floor Tom’s and two rack Tom’s. Perhaps our friend below can verify in July, lucky dog!
Looking forward to the full album coming in September.

Benjamin Britten: Les Illuminations and other works
Julie Roset (soprano), Orchestre Philharmonique de Monte-Carlo, Lawrence Foster
Alpha Classics
With the Young Person’s Guide as the main piece, I almost skipped by this release. BUT oh my this is a good one. If you have time to only sample one thing, Les Illuminations is incredible - Julie Roset gives a fine performance. The Sinfonia is very fine as well. Beautifully recorded and engineered.
