Because they and MSB are IMHO dCS’ main competition.
Boulder makes a DAC as well but I’ve never been impressed compared to dCS.

I actually love that aesthetic.
Too bad the performance doesn’t match the cool look.
I absolutely love the Moya, I used to own a pair of Giya G2s and a pair of G1 Spirits.
Agree on Wadax, though. 
Then you could add Nagra, Esoteric, Totaldac and a lot of others. Why ? They sound all different, so it is always a question of taste, and I respect your preference. But here , we are discussing about Varese, and nobody didn’t listen it except very limited number of person.
Here we were only kidding about the ugly look of hi-fi gear, for fun, there is nothing serious about the sound and the quality of these hi-fi products…
