I have several MQA tracks that show MQA playback as of today when played.
Please could you list a couple so I can verify that this isn’t just a Roon anomaly?
Over here in the netherlands I really cannot fine any album in MQA, only MAX. Even the album ‘2L - The MQA Experience’ comes in at 16/44.1
EDIT: of course downloaded local stored mqa files still play fine…
I just grabbed a few and tried them now. All show MQA on my Vivaldi display and also in Roon.

I now whent to my tidal account to subscribe a family plan and it’s cheaper than i was paying. I can’t find the Max sound quality but it says hi-Res files. Am i doing something wrong?
Which region? Checked them over here, only 16/44.1 and/or 24bit (via native Tidal- & Aurender’s Conductor app/Vivaldi)
You’re fine, one gets max sound quality in all new subscription plans. Bit shocked it’s about 30% more expensive over here

Tried them all and while Roon signal path reports that Dances with Wolves, Live from Nuemo’s and Mirror are all MQA-encoded (and all show as such on the Vivaldi display), both Roon and the Vivaldi are reporting Glasshouse as straight FLAC:
So it seems that some albums listed as MQA on Tidal are still using MQA Master files and some aren’t and this might even differ by region. As Pete said, a can of worms.
