If it’s a Shunyata cable, I wouldn’t be too concerned. The founder/owner is actually an engineer with an excellent background.
There are some misconceptions and erroneous assertions here. I do not say this because I have a dog in the race; the reason I have a dog in the race is because network switches can and do make a substantial difference to sound quality (I discovered this in my own “what can they possibly do?” experiment 3 years ago) but this is nothing to do with their digital purpose and this is what leads to the erroneous assertions.
A network switch attached by a short cable to your router is not going to do much if anything for sound quality (depends on how much RFI your router produces). But the same network switch connected by a short (unshielded or single-connected shield, as above) cable to your streamer can and will improve sound quality.
A side effect of the job done by the circuitry in any switch is that its galvanic isolation stops some/most/all (depending on the switch) of the RFI noise accumulated to that point from being forwarded to the streamer and thence to the DAC where it does its mischief on the analogue circuitry, not the digital.
You don’t have to take any assertions here (pro or con) at face value, simply spend say £30 on a Zyxel GS108B or Netgear GS108 or similar and install it as above - short unshielded say Cat 6 cable to NWB (or any streamer) and listen. Report back.
