very cool!!! I couldn’t work with that setup

What speakers are these ?

I’m betting on F1-5 from Fyne-Audio:

A small update after the new friend entered the house (the Clock).
Btw, in the package I found a CD with a label stating that I was expected to perform an update if I wanted to use the device with Windows. Not that using the whole with Windows is going to happen often, if at all, but I’m missing what a Clock should have to do with Windows and how I’m expected to perform an update?! Any hints?

It sounds like you have a CD with the PC driver needed for using your dCS DAC with a Windows source prior to Win 10. This is no longer required if the source is a Win10 or Win 11 system.

As you are implying that you do not use Windows anyway ( for example with a PC running a media player) and if I am correct, then you can just ignore it ( it does not relate to the wordclock).

This driver is now a bit archaic and has been removed for the downloads in the support section of the Only the Music website.

In general updates for fCS units( so not in this case) are now best carried out by Mosaic using the Update search and download option via the hamburger menu ( top left corner). However this will not affect the wordclock.

BTW, ideally your question should have been in a new thread as this one is meant only for showing off your system.

It was an used, in mint condition Clock.

It sounds like the previous owner may have simply slipped the CD in, perhaps not understanding what it is.

Hi Andrea (@Fafner),

Just curious, are you separately driving two channels speakers with your setup or is the Vivaldi gear for headphones only?

Best regards,

Richard

Headphones only

I’m sure you realize: You may have the best headphone set-up in the world! Congratulations : )

Who knows, maybe there’s a Varèse headphones listener out there…
But I’m quite impressed from my setup, the Immanis is superb at extracting what the Vivaldi+Zähl combo is offering.

I also use my vivaldi stack for headphones and 2 channel, when I use headphones.

But I did try it with the lina headphone amp, and that was a fantastic combo.

I guess I will have to move my Stax X9000 + T2 setup into the main room and connect to the Vivaldi. I want to see what Andrea is talking about.

Ciao :)))

Who made your T2?

I am running a Rossini/Clock setup for headphones only, going into a Mjolnir KGST then X9000.

Kerry made mine back in 2021 before he started Eksonic. Back then he was only making 2-3 a year. He is universally acknowledged as the PREMIER T2 builder - endorsed by the one and only Dr. Gilmore (designer). I use mine with an X9000 even though I also have 900, 900S, 404 Anniversary, and 300LE Anniversary. It is in my bedroom and fronted by my Linn Klimax DS (fully upgraded to Organik). The Linn was in my 2 channel system from 2011 until 2020 when a Rossini kicked it out and banned it to headphone use only  @all2ofme is also using a Kerry T2 and met up with him several times at my house to esthetically “customize” his version.

Prior to my T2 I ran a Birgir Carbon (not CC) for about 3 years. Birgir makes great products and is a gentleman just like Kerry.

Hope that helps
