Possibly. Although I took it that he meant DLNA/UPnP comes virtually free and has similar playback quality. If he really meant to cast aspersions on Roon’s sound quality, IMHO he’s not doing himself any favours.
I didn’t notice it first time round but now you draw attention to it I see he describes the playback quality as “untouched”. I take this as a tacit admission that there are two quality levels in streaming systems: bit perfect and non-bit perfect. So I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt on this one.
