This kind of product is very niche. If it were a iPhone, you’d have thousands looking, but a server at that price, a couple of dozen, if that.

My thoughts too. Is eBay the appropriate medium for this kind of product? I will add that if the amp you decide on is not available from the same dealer as where you purchased the Melco, a px deal may still be achievable where it is. Whilst you may get a smaller sum than you think from private sale it removes a lot of issues like scammers ( high priced goods can be very attractive to them).

I know all three integrated amplifiers quite well, and each one has its own strengths. What they all share is that unmistakable Vitus Audio sound signature. The RI-101 MkII is the most accessible, striking a really nice balance between performance and budget.
The SIA-025 takes things in a more intimate and musical direction, with that pure Class A warmth that makes you want to just sit back and sink into the music.
The SIA-030, though, really feels like the best of both worlds. It has the scale, control, and precision you’d expect at the very top, but at the same time it never loses that organic flow that makes listening so addictive.
For me personally, the Class A mode on the SIA-030 is something special. It’s wonderfully warm and natural, almost liquid in the way it presents music. It’s the kind of sound that makes you forget about the gear and just enjoy the moment. And if the budget isn’t sufficient, the RI-101 MkII is still the perfect choice, it captures the essence of Vitus Audio beautifully.

Thank you Ivo for explaining that to me, it is much appreciate to get an unbiased take on it.
It is quite a controversial topic on our site and many others, about having just a power amp with the dCS. Which is exactly what I am doing at the moment. My Naim 300DR directly connected to my Bartók Apex. It sound very pleasant. However, most dealers frown upon that idea…apart from one who I spoke to recently.
I sent Vitus an email asking their thoughts on the matter….I actually received a reply back from Alexander Vitus Mogensen, who confirmed that the SIA-025 is the correct way to go. I’ll message you with his reasons. Tell me what you think.

The SIA-025 is a beautiful amplifier. I myself use TAD CE1 TX speakers, and I’ve always found the liquid sound of the SIA-025 to be a wonderful match with TAD.
You’ve been discussing bi-amping with the SS-025 with Alex.
Personally, I would first try your speakers with the SIA-025; you can always add an SS-025 later. The 25 watts of the SIA-025 may not seem like much, but my SIA-030 has only 30 watts, and so far I’ve never run out of power.
Ask a dealer for a demo with the SIA-030, and you’ll see why this amplifier receives such outstanding reviews.

You will be trying to lift the 70kg wooden crate up out the shop if you do. As I am sure it will blow your mind with what it does, great match with dCS. Lovely lush true class A

You may well have a point there!
For those using a Mac Mini and Roon… if you install Mac OS Tahoe… make sure you turn FileVault off if you using your Mac Mini as a server. If you don’t auto log in wont work and your roon server wont start up!

Having ridden the glory years of what.cd I have hundreds - actually probably thousands - of wonderful rare releases, brilliant Vinyl rips, plus SACD rips too, so I’ll never be without my locally stored collection - I addition to Qobuz and Tidal (I know I don’t need both) - but it’s surprising just how many albums and tracks come and go from the streaming services. Or have never been on there.
An example - Willie Nelson made an Album called “Heroes” and when my wife an I met we played his cover of Coldplays “The Scientist” a lot - it means a lot to us, his voice is so achingly beautiful on it, and the Rick Rubin production is so pitch perfect, it elevates the song to somewhere you don’t expect. It’s the match to anything you’d choose from late period Jonny Cash. I’d encourage you to go and listen to it…but it got taken down from the streaming services years ago. I know not why. They never say. Anyway it’s gone. But I have a copy sitting on my server 
The vinyl rips in particular are priceless for me - so many done from the definitive pressing - often impossible to get first pressings - and on top rigs (Klimax Linn LP12s, VPIs, well sorted Technics 1200s) - and at wonderful high bit rates - and the fact what.cd had all these available and so wonderfully tagged, described and curated is something I’ll always be eternally grateful for having been there for.
I’d hope that in the era of streaming the music industry and copyright law might move on from such sites being the devils work, to recognising that they actually have a part to play in the archiving, cataloguing and making available of historic recordings, and that there are armies of people who are prepared to dedicate huge amounts of their time to this noble pursuit of excellence, for zero financial gain. Not so far from community librarians. I’m not holding my breath.
Anyway - It’s much missed. What.cd RIP.
…But this is why I will always want and need a music server - because I can listen to a pristine copy of the 1973 Harvest First Pressing of Dark Side of the Moon (SHVL 804 - Solid Blue Triangle) made to last forever by some magician on his £50k turntable.
