I considered buying the older version of the Diablo, 15+ years ago. At the time the Danish brand was not well-supported in the US, and so I made a different decision. I understand the amps to be fast, powerful and accurate.
I hope you get the fuse issue sorted. You probably just need to replace the stock fuses with Audiophile fuses…. ; )
Tried that. Kept blowing still. Once I get it sorted, it’ll go on the re-sale market.
Sonically, it was pretty ok, bottom-end was slightly tighter than my Tenor, but that’s about the only sonic advantage it has. Not surprising really (the Tenor is just over 4 times the price of the Diablo ), but there was no way to know for sure until I heard it at home to compare.
Faulty capacitor or power issue or short circuit somewhere inside the amp?
Would contact the dealer/Gryphon to have this investigated ASAP before more damage is done if I were you…
