Audio system heirarchy

I considered buying the older version of the Diablo, 15+ years ago. At the time the Danish brand was not well-supported in the US, and so I made a different decision. I understand the amps to be fast, powerful and accurate.

I hope you get the fuse issue sorted. You probably just need to replace the stock fuses with Audiophile fuses…. ; )

Tried that. Kept blowing still. Once I get it sorted, it’ll go on the re-sale market.

Sonically, it was pretty ok, bottom-end was slightly tighter than my Tenor, but that’s about the only sonic advantage it has. Not surprising really (the Tenor is just over 4 times the price of the Diablo ), but there was no way to know for sure until I heard it at home to compare.

Exactly. Even if one’s happily married (to a power amp) one has to ”play the field” occasionally just to confirm one made the right choice..

Faulty capacitor or power issue or short circuit somewhere inside the amp?
Would contact the dealer/Gryphon to have this investigated ASAP before more damage is done if I were you…
My two cents

If it’s brand new just take it back to the dealer right?

Yup, but just been rather busy with work travel, Plus my Tenor’s back in-place so there’s no urgency.

Apologies, didn’t mean to hijack the thread… an example of the hierarchy going out-the-window when any one component goes wonky
